"Dolly" Pettycur Bay

A storm was on its way. I love the colours, the drama, and the multiple diaganols of this composition. Nature is asserting itself."Dolly" has been planted up with flowers, their colours setting off the characteristic blue of the the disused boats. I sketched this on-site (see drawings) and did the full painting back in my studio.
 
Pettycur Bay has a wee working harbour, with a series of huts protected by the wall. Lobster creels are typically piled up, there is always someone working on their boat or with their catch, setting off or coming home.
