Glen Ogle Viaduct

We walked the Rob Roy Way in June 2024. I did, of course, take my sketch book with me. I had no idea that quite a bit of some days would be walking old railway lines - nor that my cousin knew so much about them and how the use of these magnificent examples of interpid Victorian engineering were forced out of service.
This painting was done as a birthday gift for my cousin to reflect her interest in old railways and as a way to remember the hike.
I did do sketching on our walk, but not of Glen Ogle Viaduct, although used a similar appraoch using pen and ink to settle the composition before starting on the canvas.
